MPC Awards Banquet was held last night at the Knoxville Convention Center. Kudos to the award winners, City of Knoxville for the Bearden Greenway, Knox Housing Partnership for Park City Infill housing, City of Knoxville for the Façade Improvement Program, Partners Construction for Cherokee Plaza, Sefton LLC for PIPS Technology Building, Juan Mino along with John & Judith Neff for Gratz Street housing, Courtland Group for Crown & Goose, 4MS LLC for 4 Market Square, and the East Tennessee Veterans Memorial for the new memorial on the World’s Fair Park.
A few Design Center board members and their companies were mentioned as well; Faris Eid, Design Innovations Architects, Liz Gassel ASLA, and Sara Hedstrom, Hedstrom Design.
Congratulations to all nine winners. The Community Design Center is a public advocate for good design and development and you, as a result of your efforts, have been publically recognized. Thank you for what you do to create “Better Communities by Design.”
