December Presentation Day

The Community Design Center’s Presentation Day for December will be on Knoxville’s Solar America Cities Program. What is a Solar America City and how in the world did that scruffy little city on the banks of the Tennessee River receive such a designation? As the only Solar America City in a 500 mile radius, Knoxville is helping to lead the Southeast to a brighter, more sustainable future through solar.

To find out more about what the Solar Knoxville program entails and why it’s making a difference, bring your lunch and come to the Knoxville Downtown Design Studio, 500 Gay Street Tuesday December 8 for an informal presentation and discussion.

Presentation by Ms. Erin Burns, Sustainability Coordinator for the City of Knoxville.

Presentation Day is the second Tuesday of the month, beginning just after 12:00 noon and ending prior to 1:00 PM.

Nell Campbell and David Collins speaking on Knoxville Station, the new transit facility being constructed over James White Parkway, led November Presentation Day.
